Reach the children – village informants provide leads, and we investigate with the village leaders (who have been cooperative). If a child needs rescuing, we take action.
Selah Safehouse assumes complete welfare of little girls who have been sexually abused or trafficked.(inclusive of 24-hour care, medical attention, meals, restoration, education, recreation, accommodation, etc.)
We focus on all three components (physical, emotional, and spiritual), to heal the whole person, and not just one part.
Our preference is to bring children back to their families or communities if at all possible. Because income is a significant reason for families to resort to human trafficking, we provide the families alternatives via micro-enterprise opportunities.
